Nicholas K. Woodward
Born and raised in Coweta, OK, Mr. Woodward has been practicing law in Tulsa and the surrounding areas since 2003. Mr. Woodward graduated from the University of Oklahoma in the spring of 2000 and subsequently completed his legal education at the University of Tulsa in 2003, during which time he also served as a law clerk.
Nicholas expanded his legal studies at the University of London (UK) in 2002. The demanding studies of the English legal system and immersion in a diverse legal culture have given him a unique perspective in applying his knowledge to client needs here in Tulsa.
Mr. Woodward focuses his practice on complex trial litigation, including business and construction law, employment law, real estate law, estate planning and family law cases such as child custody determination, child support and property division with a proficient alimony background. His involvement in hundreds of child support collection cases have aided in developing a tenacious and aggressive litigation history that allows him to provide premium representation for clients in a variety of arenas.
As a founding member of Woodward & Guten, PLLC, Mr. Woodward has been dedicated to creating a law firm that provides experienced and educated representation to all of the law firm’s clients.
Nicholas is married to Rachel (Houghton) Woodward who is a pediatric physical therapist with Therapy Time Pediatrics. Nick and Rachel live in midtown Tulsa with their daughter, Abigail Mae and their dogs Riley and Scooter. Being from Coweta and Edmond, Nick and Rachel have enjoyed becoming a part of the Tulsa community.
David A. Guten
Born in Tulsa, David was admitted to practice in 2004. He received his Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma City University in 2000 majoring in Criminal Justice, Political Science and Sociology, and in 2003, his Juris Doctrate from the University of Tulsa. In 2005 he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force and the Oklahoma Air National Guard as a Judge Advocate General.
Mr. Guten focuses the majority of his practice on elder law and estate planning, business law and corporate formation, civil litigation, and high conflict family law cases. Mr. Guten also concentrates a special area of his practice to military law and is one of the few certified military attorneys in private practice throughout Oklahoma.
He is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma District Courts, the US Northern District of Oklahoma, the US Western District of Oklahoma, the United States Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces.
In early 2008, Mr. Guten and Mr. Woodward formed the law firm of Woodward & Guten, PLLC, and since that time have been dedicated to building a growing and reputable law firm committed to representing their clients with integrity and professionalism.
